Southern Fund Call for Proposals for projects beginning in 2027
The Pacific Salmon Commission’s Southern Fund Committee (SFC) has issued its 2027 Call for Proposals and is now accepting project concepts for the 2027 funding cycle in support of the Pacific Salmon Treaty.
Applications are welcome from private, non-profit, and public sector organizations.
The SFC invites proposals that align with the origin and purpose of the Southern Fund:
-
- Develop improved information for resource management
- Rehabilitate and restore marine and freshwater habitat
- Enhance wild stock production through low technology techniques
Proposals should also support the Strategic Goals and Objectives outlined in the Strategic Plan of the SFC. Innovative proposals are encouraged, including those that explore new technology, fishery management tools, or alternative and/or complementary approaches to support stock assessment – particularly methods that are less resource intensive.
The SFC has also identified specific priorities for 2027 and encourages applications that address these areas.
Interested applicants should download and review the Southern Fund 2027 Call for Project Concepts for full application details.
Project concepts must be submitted through the grantee portal submission form. The submission deadline is 11:59 p.m. PT on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
Videos to assist with navigating the grantee portal and application process will be added soon. Please check back for updates.
Questions should be directed to the Grant Program Manager, Sascha Bendt, or the Program Assistant, Victor Keong via phone at (604) 684-8081, or email: funds@psc.org
