About the Test Fisheries

The Pacific Salmon Commission oversees the operation of various test fisheries both in Canada and the U.S. to provide information for the assessment and management of Fraser River sockeye and pink salmon. The administration and management of these test fisheries is guided by the Commission’s Test Fishing Policy.

Test fishing data is made available in-season on the Test Fishing Results page.

Below you will find a selection of maps showing the locations of the test fisheries overseen by the Pacific Salmon Commission, in the marine approaches and within the Fraser River itself.
