Southern Panel

southern

Created in 1985 as one of the original three Panels, the Southern Panel has responsibility for salmon originating in rivers with mouths south of Cape Caution including stocks originating from streams in Southern BC, Washington, Oregon and Idaho (with the exception of Fraser River sockeye and pink salmon stocks). Issues dealt with by the Panel include revisions to the Chum Annex and continued implementation of the Coho Management Plan. The Panel is supported by the Coho, Chum and Chinook Technical Committees.
