Addressing one of the priorities of the Southern Panel, we propose to design, develop and facilitate a workshop with the Panel to investigate and assess alternative management regimes for Pacific Salmon Treaty Coho salmon, with participation from the Joint Technical Committee on Coho. The goal of the workshop is to provide a policy-neutral evaluation of the feasibility and implications of different management scenarios, given the existing Coho FRAM model and existing/prospective data, such that negotiators and decision-makers can have a common set of information on potential alternatives.
