South Fork Nooksack Chinook Captive Broodstock Implementation

The South Fork Nooksack Chinook population is one of the 22 populations in the Threatened Puget Sound Chinook salmon ESU. This captive brood operation has the potential to greatly increase abundance and reduce extinction risk for one of the most at-risk stocks in the Puget Sound ESU. This stock has constrained fisheries and has a high importance relative to the recovery of the Puget Sound Chinook ESU.
