Technical Committees

Technical committees provide the panels with the timely scientific data and information needed in order to make effective decisions. These committees rely upon information provided by Canadian and United States fishery management agencies.

The joint committees include:

Working Group on Data Standards (reports to Data Sharing) View membership list

8. Transboundary View membership list View Publications
Enhancement Subcommittee of the Transboundary Technical Committee (reports to Transboundary) View membership list  
9. Habitat and Restoration Technical Committee View membership list  

The Coho and Chum technical committees report to the Southern Panel. The Northern Boundary Technical Committee reports to the Northern Panel. The Transboundary Technical Committee reports to the Transboundary Panel. The Fraser River Technical Committee reports to the Fraser River Panel.

The Chinook Technical Committee, the Selective Fisheries Evaluation Committee, the Data Sharing Technical Committee and the Habitat and Restoration Technical Committee provide support and advice relevant to all four regional panels. Therefore, these committees report directly to the Commission.
